September 2025 Monthly Meeting with David Allen

David “Dave” A. Allen, DNP, R.N., CCNS-BC, CCRN-K, is Chief Nursing Officer for Adult Services at OU Health.

Dr. Allen came to OU Health in September of 2024, with an exceptional background in nursing leadership and clinical practice. From April 2022 till September 2024, he served as Chief Nursing Officer at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak. Prior to that, he served as Vice President for Clinical Leadership at the Hospital Corporation of America corporate office, where he provided advocacy and leadership across 183 hospitals. His career also includes roles such as Chief Nursing Officer at Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant, and Chief of Advanced Practice Nursing and Evidence-Based Practice at Brooke Army Medical Center and the United States Army Institute of Surgical Research Burn Center.  

Dr. Allen is a board-certified Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist with significant expertise in executive leadership. His clinical experience is extensive, covering areas such as medical/surgical, outpatient services, perioperative services, burn, and critical care.  

Beyond his clinical and leadership roles, Dr. Allen is an accomplished author and speaker, with numerous publications and presentations at the local, state, national, and international levels on topics such as leadership and evidence-based practice. He has also contributed to several boards, including the Texas Health Services Authority and the Texas Statewide Coordinating Council. Currently, he serves on the BEAT AIDS Board of Directors and the American Organization for Nursing Leadership Nomination Committee.

Please have that email (or QR Code) pulled up on your mobile device as you prepare to check in to speed up the process. Your code will be scanned at the registration desk and you’ll be checked in. Once checked in, you can pick up your name tag and drink tickets. Note: that the QR Code is specific to your registration for this meeting and will not work otherwise.
